The PRE'17 Student Poster Competition is organized to encourage students and recent graduates to present their original research in the best possible way. This contest is open to Graduates, Post Graduates and Research Scholars not above the age of 35. An Award Certificate and a prize of € 250 will be awarded to the poster judged the "best" overall based on the content of the poster, the quality of the visual display of information on the poster, and the ability of the student to successfully and succinctly present the subject matter in the poster. A second and a third prize Certificates will be awarded as well, with amounts of € 150 and € 100, respectively. A panel of members from research and academic sectors will judge the posters. The judges will look at the posters during the poster sessions. The judges' decision will be final and no clarification will be given. The winning posters will be announced at the closing of the conference. Students interested in having their posters considered for the PRE'17 Student Poster Competition must fill this form on-line by November 27th, 2017 at the latest. At the registration desk, they will receive a sticker, to be put on their poster for the easy recognition of the competitors. POSTER SIZE: 100 cm (height) x 70 cm (width) A jury, composed by several senior scientists, has ranked the 17 posters, with authors from 7 countries, participating in the contest. As a result, the three prizes were awarded to:

Isela Padilla Rosales (PhD student at CINVESTAV IPN, Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico)
Paulina Sobierajska (PhD student at the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research, PAN, Wroclaw, Poland) The jury congratulated with all the participants for the high scientific level and the presentation clarity of their posters. Special mention was given to the posters by Damiano Massella and Cesare Meroni, both PhD students at the University of Trento and IFN CNR. |
